PM Groysman: Government allocates UAH 11 bln for development of regions this year

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allocates UAH 11 billion for the development of regions within the framework of the decentralization reform in 2018.

"We have allocated UAH 11 billion to help the regions implement their development plans," Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman wrote on Facebook.

According to him, these funds will be spent on the construction of kindergartens, sports institutions in the regions, modernization of vocational education, renovation of emergency departments, hospitals as well as construction of infrastructure facilities.

The Prime Minister recalled that the revenues to local budgets had increased by 31% in 2017. A total of 665 united territorial communities have already been created (299 UTCs were established in 2017).

298 hub schools and 415 their affiliated institutions were opened over the past year. A total of 790 investment programs have been launched in the regions of Ukraine, 399 facilities were completed and put into operation.
