Foreign ministers of Ukraine, Albania exchange first drafts of FTA agreement

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin and Foreign Minister of Albania Ditmir Bushati exchanged the first drafts of free trade agreement between the two countries.

Klimkin said this at a joint press conference with the Albanian counterpart, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We have exchanged the first drafts of free trade agreement and believe that we have very good prospects for mutual attraction of business," Klimkin said.

As noted, after the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister of Albania Ditmir Bushati will meet with First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv to discuss the FTA between Ukraine and Albania.

"This should give an additional impetus to our cooperation," Klimkin added.

Albania's compliance with EU sanctions against Russia was touched upon during the talks.

"We have discussed the cases of deliveries from the occupied Crimea to Albania. The Albanian authorities found out the reason, and there will be no such cases in the future," Klimkin assured.
