GTS management: Ukrainian government starts consultations with international companies

The Government of Ukraine has started consultations with seven international companies, which are interested in joint management of Ukraine's gas transportation system within the consortium.

"The consultations under the chairmanship of [Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine] Volodymyr Kistion have started today with seven international companies, which showed interest in joint management of Ukraine's gas transportation system," Deputy Energy and Coal Industry Minister of Ukraine Natalia Boiko posted on her Facebook page.

As reported, late December 2017, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine officially started to select a partner for joint operation of Ukrainian gas transportation system.

The Cabinet formed a working group for search and selection of the international partners for the joint management of the Ukrainian GTS. Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Kistion was appointed as the chairman of the working group.

As of now, the companies from Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Italy, Romania, Greece and Germany expressed interest in joint management of the national gas transportation system.
