Government expects Ukraine’s economic growth to exceed 2%

The Cabinet of Ministers expects Ukraine’s GDP growth to exceed 2% according to the results of 2017.

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman stated this at a government sitting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Economic growth over the three quarters totaled 2.3% of GDP. We expect it to be more than 2% on the results of the year,” said Groysman.

He noted that this indicates an increase in the production of Ukrainian goods.

"If we want to reach the level of our partners, who have had the strong economy for decades, then this growth is not enough, so our priorities are to create conditions for higher economic growth," Groysman said.

As Ukrinform earlier reported, the National Bank of Ukraine estimated Ukraine’s GDP growth at 2.1% in 2017.
