Over 14,000 Ukrainian exporters have already entered European market

More than 14,000 Ukrainian companies have already entered the EU market due to the establishment of the deep and comprehensive free trade area between Ukraine and the European Union.

Ambassador Mykola Tochytsky, Representative of Ukraine to the European Union, said this in an interview with a Brussels-based Ukrinform correspondent.

"The number of Ukrainian companies that export goods to the EU member states is constantly growing. According to the Economic Development and Trade Ministry, more than 14,000 companies exported their products to the EU last year, which is 734 more than in 2016," the ambassador said.

Tochytsky noted that the EU-Ukraine trade statistics had undergone tangible positive changes.

"In 2017, the exports to the EU countries grew by 30%. The share of the EU in the structure of Ukraine's foreign trade now is almost 43%. In 2013, this figure was slightly more than 20%," the Representative of Ukraine to the European Union noted.

As reported, the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union entered into force on January 1, 2016.
