Govnt plans to allocate UAH 2.5 bln for construction of commercial dairy farms in 2018

In 2018, the Cabinet of Ministers plans to allocate UAH 2.5 billion for the construction of commercial dairy companies and farms.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this during a government meeting, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"For the first time in this year, we will provide real support to the development of Ukrainian farming. Today, we made a decision to allocate UAH 2.5 billion for the construction of commercial dairy enterprises and farms in the country," Groysman said.

He explains that this decision will help grant loans to agro-industrial enterprises and those who want to build new farms. The loan rate will be about 3% in hryvnia for a period of up to 5 years. The state will compensate up to 30% of the cost if credit resources are not involved.
