Government to allocate funds for EASA certification for Uzhhorod International Airport

The Infrastructure Ministry has approved the allocation of EUR 58,178 for carrying out certification of Uzhhorod International Airport, according to Chairman of Zakarpattia Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal.

"The Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine has agreed to allocate EUR 58,178 for carrying certification for Uzhhorod International Airport. The certification will be carried out by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA,” he wrote on his official website.

According to Moskal, the full operation of the airport can be resumed only following the certification.

Uzhhorod International Airport is the only airport in Ukraine that uses airspace of the neighboring state (Slovakia), which is a member of the European Union and operates under the requirements of the EASA.
