Vitali Klitschko: Starbucks will definitely open in Kyiv, it’s a matter of time

Kyiv city mayor Vitali Klitschko has stated that the American coffee shop network Starbucks will definitely open in Kyiv and it's only a matter of time.

Klitschko said this on the air of NewsOne TV channel, the mayor’s press service reports.

"There are a lot of rumours going around about this topic. I was talking about Starbucks' interest and intentions. It may be a franchise, and this possibility is being considered now," the mayor said.

Klitschko stressed that the branches of many world companies work in Ukraine and in Kyiv in particular.

"I had a meeting with a representative of Ikea, which has been intending to enter the Ukrainian market for many years. We hope that this company will open an office in Kyiv in 2018. I am very happy about this," Vitali Klitschko said.

"Starbucks will definitely come to Ukraine, to Kyiv. I have no doubt about this. It’s only a matter of time. We have to do our best for this company to enter Ukrainian market as soon as possible. I'm making efforts for this," the mayor said.
