Population and state-funded organizations reduce gas consumption by 25%

In 2014-2017, the state-funded organizations, district heating utility facilities and the population reduced gas consumption by 25% or 6.02 billion cubic meters.

This is reported by the press service of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine.

Chairman of the Agency Serhiy Savchuk noted that the local authorities should actively implement projects for the insulation of residential buildings and building of the state-funded organizations, installation of solid fuel boilers, bio-thermal power plants and other clean energy facilities as this is a profitable investment for each city, town or village.

As reported, 408 MW of newly installed capacities of electricity production from the renewable energy sources worth more than EUR 400 million appeared in Ukraine over past three years.
