Trade turnover between Ukraine and Czech Republic grew by 28%

The trade turnover between Ukraine and the Czech Republic over ten months in 2017 year reached $1.27 billion, which is almost 28% more compared to the same period in the previous year.

This issue was discussed at a meeting of Ukrainian Ambassador to the Czech Republic Yevhen Perebyinis with newly appointed Czech Republic Minister for Industry and Trade, Tomas Huner, the press service of the Ukrainian embassy reports.

"The parties during the meeting noted positive trends in the bilateral Ukrainian-Czech trade in 2017. In particular, over the ten months of last year, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $1 billion 270 million, which is almost 28% more compared to the same period in the previous year. In this regard, the ambassador and the minister discussed promising areas of cooperation which could promote the development of these trends, in particular, in the areas of energy, transport, and engineering,” reads a report.

Also, Perebyinis told about the progress of the reforms being carried out in Ukraine, including measures aimed at improving the business climate and investment conditions, the implementation of the Ukraine - EU Association Agreement, in particular regarding the creation of the deep and comprehensive free trade area.
