Ryanair may enter Ukraine this winter – Omelyan

Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan says that ongoing negotiations with the Irish low-cost airline Ryanair are coming to an end, and the company may enter the Ukrainian market as soon as in January-February 2018.

“We are already on the final stage of negotiations with Ryanair. I hope that the company may enter [the Ukrainian market] in January-February. There are technical issues that we’re completing to discuss, but in general everything is fine. We had no concessions compared to the positions we had last year,” Omelyan stated on Ukraine's ZIK TV Channel.

As Ukrinform earlier reported, Ryanair suspended negotiations with Ukraine in early July 2017 due to the lack of agreements with Boryspil International Airport.

Later, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said that Ukraine would resume the negotiation process with Ryanair.
