About 2,000 ESCO projects can be implemented in Ukraine in 2018 – Savchuk

About 2,000 energy efficiency projects under the ESCO framework can be implemented in Ukraine next year compared with 200 in 2017.

Head of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving, Serhiy Savchuk, stated this at an annual press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“At least 200 energy service contracts will be completed this year, and next year there will be 2,000,” Savchuk said.

He noted that the State Agency on Energy Saving constantly updates the database of facilities with which the business can begin cooperation under ESCO projects.

The ESCO is a business entity providing a broad range of energy solutions in full or partially at the expense of its own, borrowed or attracted funds and ensuring guaranteed savings in fuel-energy resources and water during the implementation of energy saving measures.
