PM Groysman: Government developing regulatory acts on deregulation in gas production

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said that the Cabinet of Ministers is developing certain regulatory acts on deregulation in gas production.

He said this said at a Government Question Hour meeting held in the Verkhovna Rada, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The government is developing legal acts deregulating the issue in the gas production sector. In addition, we increased the financing of the Energy Efficiency Fund from UAH 800 million to UAH 2 billion in 2018, which had been already approved by Parliament,” Groysman said.

He added that on January 1, 2018, "the monetization of subsidies for producers" will also be launched for the first time in the history of independent Ukraine. Groysman stressed that a range of various measures will increase the energy independence of Ukraine.
