Parliament ratifies investment agreement between Ukraine and OPEC Fund

The Verkhovna Rada has ratified the agreement for the promotion and protection of investments between Ukraine and the OPEC Fund for International Development, which was signed on May 26, 2017. 

A total of 228 MPs voted for the adoption of bill No. 0161 as a whole, with at least 226 votes required to make the decision, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The agreement will promote assistance for foreign investors. In particular, it will help increase foreign investments in the main sectors of the Ukrainian economy, strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine and the OPEC Fund for International Development to achieve stable social and economic growth and enlarge opportunities for human resources development to improve the quality of life of Ukrainian citizens.
