IMF experts visit Ukraine to conduct technical discussions of draft budget 2018

Experts of the International Monetary Fund visited Kyiv during the period from November 9 to 17 to conduct technical discussion of the draft state budget for 2018.

Permanent Representative of the IMF in Ukraine Gösta Ljungman stated this in Kyiv on Monday, Ukrinform learnt this from the press service of the Office of the IMF resident representative.

"The experts of the International Monetary Fund visited Kyiv from November 9 to 17 for technical discussion of the draft budget for 2018. This discussion will take place in the coming weeks in order to ensure that the approved budget reflects the deficit in 2.5% of GDP, which is coordinated by the program of Ukraine's economic reforms supported by the Fund," the report says.

As reported, the National Bank expects that Ukraine will receive the IMF tranche worth $2 billion in the first quarter of 2018 and another tranche worth $1.5 billion in the same year.
