Zubko: EU in early December to decide on program of support for Energy Efficiency Fund

Vice Prime Minister – Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Services Minister Hennadiy Zubko has said that the European Union in early December will decide on a five-year program to support the Ukrainian Energy Efficiency Fund and the provision of a tranche to start financing energy efficiency projects.

He stated this during a Government Question Hour meeting on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“This week the European Commissioner has visited Ukraine. We have developed a road map with his team. In early December, the European Union is expected to make a decision on a five-year support for the Energy Efficiency Fund and the first financial assistance," Zubko said.

According to him, for this, the Ukrainian government should fulfill several conditions: to adopt a charter of the fund, to approve directions of financial activities of the fund, as well as the procedure for using funds distributed from the state budget.
