Canada should be involved in production of Ukrainian aircraft – ambassador

State Enterprise Antonov is most likely to benefit from the involvement of Canadian companies in the production of Ukrainian aircraft.

Ukrainian Ambassador to Canada Andriy Shevchenko said this in a commentary to an Ukrinform correspondent.

According to him, the visit of Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman to Canada facilitated the establishment of direct contact between the aerospace sectors of the two countries, and the state enterprise Antonov is most likely to benefit from this.

"Canadian companies may be involved in our aircraft production. I mean, say, Canadian avionics or engines for Antonov aircrafts. Although there may be far more interesting things as we can talk about joint production and other directions," the ambassador said.

During the visit to Canada, Ukrainian PM Groysman visited Montreal, where he took part in the aerospace forum attended also by the representatives of leading Canadian and Ukrainian aircraft manufacturers.
