PM calls on international community to increase its financial support to Ukraine

Reforms in Ukraine require more international financial assistance, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said.

He stated this during a conversation with representatives of the Ukrainian community in Toronto on October 30, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The support that we have now from the world community does not give us sufficient resources to carry out systemic reforms," Groysman said.

According to him, Ukraine needs about $3 billion for the reform of the education system within the next five years.

"If the coalition of countries really wants to help us, they must understand that financial support for some reforms is very important. The sooner we finance the changes, the faster we get the result and new quality," Groysman said.

As Ukrinform reported, Groysman is on a multi-day visit to Canada, where he has a number of meetings with state leaders, community and business representatives.
