Ukraine starts extracting natural gas from underground storage facilities

As of October 24, 5.4 million cubic meters of natural gas was extracted from the Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities, and 1.3 million cubic meters of natural gas was pumped into the storage facilities, the press service of PJSC Ukrtransgaz reports.

Thus, Ukraine’s natural gas stocks decreased from 16.973 billion cubic meters to 16.969 billion cubic meters.

Over the period of natural gas accumulation, 8.1 billion cubic meters of gas was pumped into the gas storage facilities. Thus, this year heating season began with gas reserves totaling 2.27 billion cubic meters more than in 2016.
