Groysman proposes dismissing head of State Geodesy Service

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has proposed that the Cabinet of Ministers dismiss Acting Head of the State Service for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre Oleh Tsviakh.

He stated this at a government meeting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Yesterday [on October 24], I promised, as a reaction to what I heard in the hall, that I would suspend the head of the State Geodesy Service. I believe that suspending him is not enough. He should be dismissed, so today I will propose that the government dismiss him," Groysman said.

In addition, he instructed the Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry to suspend all heads of regional departments of the State Service for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre and form "large-scale groups" to verify their activities.

Groysman said on Tuesday, October 24, that he had suspended Tsviakh as acting head of the State Service for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre and promised to appeal to law enforcement agencies to investigate his activities and the activities of the heads of regional departments of the service.
