Vice PM Kubiv to sign Ukraine-UN partnership framework until 2022

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has authorized First Vice Prime Minister - Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv to sign the Partnership Framework between the Government of Ukraine and the United Nations for 2018-2022.

This decision was made at the Cabinet’s meeting on Wednesday, October 18, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

This program provides for signing of a new strategic document for five years (until 2022) for further funding by United Nations agencies, funds and programs. UN assistance will be provided in four areas of partnership: sustainable economic growth, environment and employment; equal access to quality and inclusive services and social protection; democratic governance, the rule of law and public participation; security of citizens, social unity and reconstruction with a special emphasis on the East.

The approximate amount of resources to be invested in the implementation of the Ukraine-UN partnership framework is $675 million for the period of 2018-2022.
