Letter from three countries against Nord Stream-2 to be signed soon – Speaker Parubiy

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy has said that a joint letter to the European Commission from Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania against the Nord Stream-2 project will soon be signed.

The speaker said this during a meeting with Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland Stanisław Karczewski, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"It is also very important that our parties have almost agreed upon a letter that the Nord Stream is a threat to the European Union,  and it will be signed soon," Parubiy said.

As earlier reported, during an official visit to Poland on September 6, Speaker Parubiy at a meeting with the heads of the Seimas and the Senate, called on the Polish side to join a joint initiative with the Head of the Seimas of Lithuania Viktoras Pranckietis to prepare a joint appeal to the European Commission against the construction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.
