Denmark interested in cooperation with Ukraine within Energy Efficiency Fund – Zubko

Denmark can become the third international partner in addition to the European Union and the German Government, with which Ukraine will cooperate in the framework of the Energy Efficiency Fund.

Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing of Ukraine Hennadiy Zubko said this after a meeting with Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark in Ukraine Ruben Madsen and Director of Investments and Head of the Danida Business Finance (DBF) Tina Kollerup Hansen, the Governmental portal reports.

"We see the participation of Danish companies in the projects of the Fund as a promising direction in terms of engineering in the areas of energy audit and energy services, the development of technical solutions, the provision of equipment, as well as the possibility of joining the multi-donor fund for co-financing of the implementation of energy efficiency measures. In addition, Denmark is interested in implementing municipal infrastructure projects in Ukraine, in particular in the areas of water and heat supply, waste treatment and modernization of social facilities," Zubko said.

According to the deputy prime minister, in the near future the Ministry of Regional Development will prepare a pool of investment projects to be offered to the Danish side.

As a reminder, the Danida Business Finance (DBF) is a mechanism for providing access to financing of infrastructure projects, offering subsidized loans for them.
