Vice PM Zubko: Regulatory basis for Energy Efficiency Fund to be ready until end of 2017

Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Hennadiy Zubko says that the work on the development of the regulatory basis for the Energy Efficiency Fund will be completed by the end of 2017. 

He said this during the Sustainable Energy SEF-2017 Kyiv international forum, the government’s press service reports.

“The main issue is ensuring transparency of the Fund’s work. We intend to complete developing the statutory and regulatory basis for the Fund’s work by the end of the year. Actually, the Fund will start operating as early as next year,” Zubko said.

The vice prime minister also added that international partners had already approved the first tranche totaling EUR 50 million to finance the Energy Efficiency Fund jointly with the national budget of Ukraine.
