Government preparing large-scale investment projects for economic growth - PM

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said he is convinced that the Ukrainian economy will grow in the next three years.

He said this at the Kyiv Investment Forum on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We have prepared a draft law on the state budget, and this was preceded by a clear vision of the government regarding the medium-term forecast. We forecast that there will be economic growth for three consecutive years. This is a horizon for planning, including for business. I'm deeply convinced that business and economy will grow," Groysman said.

According to him, in order to speed up growth the government is preparing a series of large-scale investment projects for the public sector.

"The sector of state-owned companies is a huge component of our economic success. However, it will only happen if we find a qualitative and effective owner," he said.

Groysman also expressed confidence that it would be profitable to invest in Ukraine.

"I want to call on everyone to invest, because it is unlikely that we can find on the map of modern Europe and even the world a country that can ensure such economic growth, as Ukraine will demonstrate in subsequent years," he said.
