UAH 400 million budgeted for financing Energy Efficiency Fund

UAH 400 million (about USD 15.2 million) will be allocated from the state budget of Ukraine for financing the Energy Efficiency Fund in 2018. The government expects to raise another UAH 800 million (about USD 30.5 million) from the international donors.

This is reported by the Governmental portal referring to the draft state budget 2018, which will be submitted for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada tomorrow, September 22.

"UAH 400 million will be allocated for financing of the Energy Efficiency Fund in 2018. This is stipulated by the draft state budget of Ukraine for 2018. Another UAH 800 million will be raised from the international donors within the next year," the statement reads.

UAH 400 million from the Energy Efficiency Fund will be spent on the “warm loans” program, the public program to partially compensate the cost of loans for modernization of heating efficiency and increase of energy efficiency in the Ukrainian housing sector.
