IMF mission to arrive in Ukraine in near future

The IMF predicts that its mission will go back to Ukraine "in the near future" for the fourth review as part of the allocation of the next tranche under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF).

Director of the IMF Communications Department Gerry Rice said this at a briefing in Washington on Thursday, September 14, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"In the wake of Mr [David] Lipton's discussions with the [Ukrainian] authorities we would expect that the mission will be going back to Ukraine in the near future," he said.

Rice noted that he did not have a date when this could happen. However, according to him, the visit of the mission will be possible when all measures envisaged as part of the review are implemented by the Ukrainian side.
