Energy Efficiency Fund to get EUR 50 mln in aid in first half of 2018

Ukraine expects to receive the first EUR 50 million in EU’s financial aid for the Energy Efficiency Fund in the first half of next year.

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennadiy Zubko and Deputy Director-General for EU’s Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Katariná Mathernová have discussed specific projects to be financed with this aid, the press service of Ukrainian Vice PM reports.

"We expect that the Energy Efficiency Fund will get the first EUR 50 million in EU’s financial aid in the first half of next year. We discussed the mechanism for providing and guiding this financial support. It is important for us that the assistance is used to co-finance the projects of implementation of the energy efficiency measures through the multi-donor fund, verify the implemented projects and audit the results," Zubko said after the meeting.
