Independent Supervisory Board to operate at Ukrenergo

Energy Minister Ihor Nasalyk signed a new statute of the national energy company Ukrenergo, which was developed as part of the company’s reform.

Acting Director of Ukrenergo Vsevolod Kovalchuk posted this on his Facebook page.

“As for the reform of state enterprises ... The new statute of the state-run enterprise ‘National Energy Company Ukrenergo’ has just been signed. The Independent Supervisory Board is to be created,” he wrote.

According to Kovalchuk, the new statute and new management structure of the company are aimed at transparent and efficient management of state-owned companies.

In April 2017, the Ukrainian government informed about preparations for establishing supervisory boards to monitor the activities of state-run enterprises Ukrhydroenergo, Ukrenergo, as well as Boryspil International Airport, Ukrposhta and Ukrzaliznytsia.
