PM says gas price will not grow in new heating season

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said that the government does not support and will not make any decisions on raising the price of natural gas for households.

He stated this at a meeting on preparations for the upcoming heating season during his working visit to Mykolaiv region on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The government does not support any increase in gas prices in the country for the new heating season," Groysman said.

In his opinion, there are currently no objective reasons for raising the price of gas for the population. In this regard, he promised that the Cabinet of Ministers would not make any decision to increase the cost of gas.

The prime minister is on a working visit to Mykolaiv region on August 17. This week, he has already visited two regions - Dnipropetrovsk region on August 15 and Kherson region on August 16.
