Vice PM Rozenko: No reasons to review gas price

There are no economic reasons for raising tariffs for housing and utilities services and natural gas for the population.

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko sated this on TV Channel 112 Ukraine, the vice prime minister’s press service reports.

"At present inflation trends are predictable, they are at the level envisaged in the national budget, and stability of the national currency has been maintained for a long time. Therefore, there are no reasons for raising the price of natural gas and tariffs for housing and utilities services. And I personally, as a member of Government, will not support any decisions on raising the gas price," Rozenko stated.

He also stressed that in Ukraine “the state budget envisaged the price of natural gas for the population at the level set during the previous heating season, and there are no reasons to talk about the revision of this price."

Rozenko added the earlier the Cabinet of Ministers approved the financial plan of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine without a raise in the price of natural gas for the population and other categories of consumers.
