Vice PM Kubiv: Trade turnover between Ukraine, Japan grows by almost 40%

The trade turnover between Ukraine and Japan for four months of 2017 grew by 40% compared to the same period in 2016.

This was announced during the meeting of First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv with Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Taido Tanose, the press service of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry reports.

"Ukraine-Japan trade turnover has increased significantly since the beginning of the year and increased by 40% during four months of 2017 in comparison with the same period in 2016," the statement reads.

As a reminder, according to the data of the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan, Ukrainian exports of goods to Japan amounted to USD 122.4 million in 2016. Imports of goods from Japan amounted to USD 387.6 million.
