Groysman believes Ukraine to be energy independent by 2020

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman believes that Ukraine will be fully energy independent by 2020.

The prime minister wrote this on Facebook.

"Another important task is a conscious consumption of energy resources and efficient resource savings. For this purpose, the funds for the 'warm loans' program were increased by UAH 730 million. I am confident that the systematic work in this direction and the responsibility of each Ukrainian will help us to be energy independent by 2020," the premier noted.

Groysman stresses that the Government is making every effort to make Ukraine an energy independent state, because it is an important component of a successful and strong country.

According to him, Ukraine has not been purchasing gas from the Russian Federation for more than 600 days. Groysman notes that the Government’s task is to increase gas production to 20 billion cubic meters by 2020.
