Vice PM Zubko: UAH 70 bln to be spent on subsidies until the end of 2017

The Ukrainian government intends to spend UAH 70 billion from the national budget for the program of subsidies.

"Until the end of 2017, UAH 70 billion will be spent from the budget for subsidies," Vice Prime Minister – Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Services Hennadiy Zubko stated.

At the same time, Zubko noted that Ukraine should invest in energy efficiency, if it decided to spend such funds on subsidies, the press service of the official reports.

In this regard, the vice prime minister noted that the Ukrainian authorities should carry out verification, then monetize subsidies, and also move towards an increase in incomes of citizens.

According to him, the verification of subsidies has already begun at the level of local authorities, and yesterday the Cabinet of Ministers decided to establish a central register to record all information about the recipients of subsidies.
