Ukrainian energy market requires EUR 0.6-1.2 bln in investments– Ukrenergo

To connect Ukraine to the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E), the market participants will need to attract from 600 million to 1.2 billion euros in investments within 5 years.

Acting Director of the National Power Company “Ukrenergo” Vsevolod Kovalchuk said this at the press conference on Ukraine’s prospects for joining the ENTSO-E European network, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"If we talk about the amount of investments all the market participants have to make, including Ukrenergo, we estimate it in the range from 600 million up to 1.2 billion euros within five years," Kovalchuk said.
