Annual revenues from exports to increase by $160 mln – Agrarian Policy Ministry

Annual revenues from agricultural and food exports may increase by $160 million due to additional trade preferences that were approved by the European Union.

Deputy Agrarian Policy and Food Minister of Ukraine Olha Trofimtseva wrote this in the column for a Ukrainian online newspaper, the Ministry’s press service reports.

"The countries of the European Union rank second in the regional agro-export structure of Ukraine. For the first five months of 2017, the agricultural and food exports to the EU amounted to $ 2.256 billion. Additional trade preferences to Ukraine, along with already existing tariff quotas, will provide expanded access to the internal market of the EU for Ukrainian exporters," the official noted.

The Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine expects the export earnings to increase due to additional trade preferences by more than $160 million annually.
