World Bank improves Ukraine’s GDP growth forecast

The World Bank has improved the forecast for GDP growth in Ukraine from 3% to 3.5% in 2018 and from 3% to 4% in 2019.

This is reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry with reference to Dr. Feng Zhao, the Program Leader for World Bank's Human Development programs in Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine.

"The World Bank has improved the forecast for GDP growth rate in Ukraine from 3% to 3.5% in 2018 and from 3% to 4% in 2019," the report says.

"The state sector traditionally dominates the Ukrainian economy. The World Bank forecasts indicate that the private sector in Ukraine will take more decisive positions in the next years if it actively participates in the reforms," Dr. Feng Zhao added.
