Groysman: Ukraine’s foreign debt amounts to 80% of GDP

The size of Ukraine's external debt has amounted to 80% of the country's gross domestic product.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said this at the Ukraine Reform Conference in London on July 6, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"External public debt amounts to 80% of the gross domestic product. This is a huge burden for our country. The deficit of the Pension Fund’s budget is 5% of GDP," Groysman said.

According to him, Ukraine has to spend a lot of money on security and defense because of Russia's aggression. There are also other challenges that have to be overcome, he added.
