PM Groysman: Ukraine plans to start consultations on free trade area with the UK

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has stated that Ukraine and the United Kingdom plan to start consultations on free trade area between the countries.

Groysman said this to journalists upon the meeting with British Prime Minister Theresa May in London, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Taking into account that the UK decided to leave the EU, we need now to discuss new principles of our economic cooperation. I have raised the issue and found support for the idea to start consultations on establishing the free trade area with the UK," Groysman said.

According to him, the potential for trade turnover between Ukraine and the UK may be about $3.5 billion.
