IGC reduces its forecast for grain production in Ukraine

The International Grains Council (IGC) reduced in June the forecast for grain production in Ukraine in 2017/2018 MY by 0.9 million tons, from 62.9 million tons to 62 million tons, compared with the forecast in May.

This is reported by the UkrAgroConsult analytical center.

"At the same time, the forecast for the export of Ukrainian grain was increased by 1.1 million tons (from 36.2 million tons in May to 37.3 million tons in June)," the report says.

However, in June, the IGC did not change the forecast for the wheat crop – 24.5 million tons in 17/18 MY – but increased the forecast for exports by 0.5 million tons up to 13.5 million tons.
