Ukraine increases Russian gas transit

In January and June 2017, the transit of Russian gas through the Ukrainian gas transmission networks grew by 21% compared to the same period last year and totaled 45.7 billion cubic meters, according to PJSC Main Gas Pipelines of Ukraine.

"The transit grew by 21% and amounted to 45.7 billion cubic meters. With such regimes till the end of the year, we can expect 90 billion cubic meters of transported blue fuel for European consumers," reads the report.

The company also noted that recent cyber-attacks, which hit a lot of private and public companies in Ukraine, didn’t affect the operation of Ukraine's gas transmission system.

As earlier reported, Ukraine's current gas transmission system operator is PJSC Ukrtransgaz, 100% of which is owned by Naftogaz of Ukraine.
