World Bank approves plan of cooperation with Ukraine for 2017-2021

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a meeting with President of the World Bank Jim Yong Kim.

“The parties praised the adoption of the strategic document of cooperation for 2017-2021 aimed to support the Ukrainian reforms,” reads a report posted on the Ukrainian president’s official website.

President Poroshenko thanked for the constant support of Ukraine. Since 2014, the World Bank’s portfolio in Ukraine has increased 3 times or almost by 4.425 billion dollars. The main increase took place at the cost of the budget support projects worth $ 2.25 billion. New investment projects have been started for the sum of 2.6 billion dollars.

The Ukrainian President also informed on the first results of the reforms in Ukraine, the achievement of macroeconomic stability and a reassuring trend towards economic growth.
