Minister Nasalyk: Fair coal price to bring additional UAH 50 mln into the industry

Ukraine’s Energy and Coal Industry Minister Ihor Nasalyk says that Ukraine has set a fair price for coal – UAH 2,000 per a ton of fuel against the previous price of UAH 1,730.

Minister Nasalyk stated this during the yesterday's meeting at state-run enterprise Lvivvuhillia, Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“Ukraine has determined the fair price for coal. A ton of fuel will now cost UAH 2,000 against the previous price of UAH 1,730. This will additionally bring UAH 45-50 million into the industry. And this is the guarantee of increasing wages for miners,” said Minister Nasalyk.

According to him, DTEK has already agreed to buy coal at the increased cost, while state-run companies are trying to bargain.

Earlier, Minister Nasalyk said that salaries of Lvivvuhillia employees will grow twice in 2018.
