Ukraine, China discuss plans for holding joint business forum in 2017

Ukraine’s First Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine Du Wei have discussed plans to hold meetings of seven sub-commissions within the Ukrainian-Chinese intergovernmental commission for cooperation, as well as holding of the third meeting of the commission and the Ukrainian-Chinese business forum in 2017, the Ukrainian Economic Development and Trade Ministry reports.

Stepan Kubiv reminded that relevant agreements on holding the Ukrainian-Chinese intergovernmental cooperation commission had been reached earlier at a meeting with Ma Kai in Beijing, where the Ukrainian delegation stayed on May 13-15, 2017.

The Ukrainian vice prime minister also emphasized that all the agreements reached during the visit of the Ukrainian delegation to China should be implemented as soon as possible. Among the positive examples of efficient Ukrainian-Chinese cooperation is the decision to open the Chinese market for the export of Ukrainian beef.

“We opened the Chinese market for Ukrainian beef. Earlier, the relevant commission established that the Ukrainian system of beef quality monitoring meets Chinese requirements," Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Du Wei stressed.
