PM Groysman: Ukraine not to let construction of Nord Stream 2

Ukraine will take all the measures to prevent the construction of any gas transportation projects which are of a "purely political nature" and threaten the national security.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this during an hour of questions to the Government at the Parliament, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"I want to emphasize that the issue of gas transportation system is one of our priorities. There is judicial trial now in Stockholm, and its results will have an impact on our plans for managing the gas transportation system. We will fight for our national interests, but this also concerns the security of gas supplies to Europe and diversification of the transit routes," Groysman said.

That's why, he noted, Ukraine will take all the measures to prevent the construction of gas transportation projects which are of a "purely political nature."

"Such projects also pose a threat to the national security of Ukraine and the European countries," Groysman added.
