International Agrarian Forum kicked off in Lviv

The international forum Agroport West Lviv-2017 has kicked off today in Lviv, where delegations from 17 countries, over 200 companies and about 100 Ukrainian and foreign experts, business representatives, agrarian producers will meet to discuss such topics as animal husbandry, crop production, growing organic products, berries, vegetable-growing, horticulture, fisheries etc.

“The participation of agrarians in international forums is one of the opportunities to develop their production potential, establish new business contacts. In addition, it gives the possibility for attracting international investments both to the business and to the country's agricultural sector,” Agrarian Policy Minister Taras Kutovyi said this, when opening the international forum, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

Agroport West Lviv-2017 will last till April 29 and will focus on small and medium farmers. Special attention during the forum will be paid to the problems of adapting agriculture to climate change conditions: increase of productivity in terms of changes and transition to the safe and accurate technologies.
