President Poroshenko invites British business to invest in Ukraine

Paying an official visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with representatives of the country's business circles.

This is reported by the press service of the Head of State.

"President Poroshenko told about the implementation of reforms in Ukraine over the past three years and the main results that have been achieved so far. Significant attention was paid to creation of the investment climate, conduct of the judicial reform, tackling corruption, reforming the banking and energy sectors. The President also informed about the launch of the electronic register of VAT refunds," the statement reads.

The President stressed that he believed in the trade and investment prospects for Ukrainian-British partnership. According to him, the UK with more than $2 billion has become one of the largest foreign investors in Ukraine, creating tens of thousands of jobs. Thus, the Head of State noted the successful cooperation of the Ukrainian Antonov company and the British Dowty Propellers company during the design of the An-132D transport aircraft.
