PM Groysman expects decentralization to promote economic growth

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman expects that the decentralization, launched three years ago in the country, will have a significant impact on Ukraine's economic growth.

“The excessive centralization of power was one of the crucial reasons for Ukraine's slow economic development,” Groysman wrote on Twitter.

According to him, any attempts to accelerate the development without active involvement of local government, without creating incentives for local economic development would have not yielded any results.

"Therefore, from the reform that I launched three years ago, and which I’m very proud of - the reform of decentralization, I now expect a significant impact on Ukraine's economic growth," Groysman said.
