Economy ministry: Restrictions to be applied to grain, meat, dairy and egg exports within CUFTA

The tariff quotas will be applied to certain agricultural products delivered from Ukraine within the framework of the Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement (CUFTA), including some cereals, dairy products, eggs, poultry and cattle meat.

This is reported by an Ukrinform correspondent, referring to the press service of the Ukrainian Economic Development and Trade Ministry.

In particular, Canada has the tariff quotas for the import deliveries of beef and veal, pork, chicken meat and derived by-products, turkey meat and derived by-products, eggs and egg products, chicken hatching eggs, dairy products, margarine and peanut butter.

In its turn, Ukraine has the tariff quotas for the import deliveries of frozen pork and salo.

Meanwhile, sugar was completely removed from the free trade agreement.

A reminder that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified the Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement on March 14, 2017.
