Government increases expenditures on united territorial communities

To support the united territorial communities, the Ukrainian government this year has envisaged in the national budget by UAH 500 million more compared with the previous year.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this during a meeting with representatives of the regional mass media, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"Expenditures in support of the united territorial communities in 2017 total [UAH] 1.5 billion, which is by [UAH] 500 million more than last year. They will be distributed automatically. The number of communities is increasing, that’s why the distribution will be carried to a greater number of communities," Groysman said.

He also reminded that the powers of united communities are determined by the law.

"Since January 1, we have raised wages to UAH 3,200 and have entitled the territorial communitive to conduct checks. At present nothing stops them from realizing their rights. If additional government decisions are needed, we’ll make them, but nobody has informed me of such decisions," Groysman said.
